Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-05-13

These terms of use apply when you use Vinkretsen, including the website, application, accounts, tastings, digital cellar, tasting notes, community features and importer profiles.

By creating an account or using Vinkretsen you accept these terms.

1. About Vinkretsen

Vinkretsen is a digital platform for wine-loving adults, wine tastings, wine community, importer profiles, a digital cellar and tasting notes.

Vinkretsen does not sell alcohol.

The platform may contain information about wines and neutral links to public product pages at Systembolaget or other lawful external information sources. Such links are intended as information only.

2. Age limit

Vinkretsen is aimed at people aged 25 or older.

By using the service you confirm that you meet the age requirement and that you use the service in a responsible context.

3. Account

To use certain features you need to create an account.

You are responsible for:

  • providing accurate information;
  • keeping login credentials secure;
  • not sharing your account with others;
  • notifying Vinkretsen of suspected unauthorised access;
  • complying with these terms.

Vinkretsen may suspend or restrict accounts in case of suspected abuse, breach of terms or security risk.

4. Tastings

Vinkretsen may offer different types of tastings:

  • importer tastings;
  • community tastings;
  • private tastings;
  • online tastings;
  • in-person tastings;
  • hybrid tastings.

Conditions, price, format, participant limit, date and content are shown on each tasting page.

5. Importer tastings

Importer tastings are created by wine importers or by Vinkretsen together with importers.

Importers are responsible for the information they publish about their profiles, portfolios, wines and tastings, but Vinkretsen may review, edit, hide or remove content that violates our terms, the law or the platform's guidelines.

6. Community tastings

Community tastings are created by users and can be made visible to other users after review.

A user who creates a community tasting is responsible for ensuring that:

  • the information is accurate;
  • the tasting is clearly described;
  • the wine list does not contain misleading information;
  • the tone is responsible and moderate;
  • participants are treated respectfully;
  • content follows Vinkretsen's rules.

Vinkretsen may decline, unpublish or change visibility of community tastings.

7. Private tastings

Private tastings are only visible to the host and invited or approved participants.

You are responsible for whom you invite and for how the tasting is conducted outside Vinkretsen's digital service.

Vinkretsen is not responsible for private gatherings, purchases, serving or other activity that takes place outside the platform.

8. Tasting lists and wine links

A tasting list is informational support for a tasting.

It may contain wine names, producer, vintage, region, approximate price and a link to a public product page.

Vinkretsen does not sell alcohol, does not accept orders for alcohol and offers no shopping cart for alcoholic products.

If a link goes to Systembolaget, it is only a neutral link to product information. Purchase, ordering and pickup happens separately at Systembolaget under their terms.

9. Payments

Some tastings may be paid.

The price is shown before you book or pay. Payments are handled through an external payment provider.

Vinkretsen does not store full card details.

Payment only grants access to the specific service or tasting described at the time of purchase.

10. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund terms may vary depending on tasting type.

Refund terms must be shown at the time of booking where relevant.

Vinkretsen may decline a refund if the tasting has already started, if access has been used or if the terms of the specific tasting do not entitle a refund.

If a tasting is cancelled the affected participants are informed.

11. LiveKit, video and digital tasting rooms

Online tastings may take place in digital tasting rooms.

You are responsible for:

  • a working internet connection;
  • camera/microphone if you choose to use them;
  • behaving respectfully;
  • not recording, distributing or sharing content without permission;
  • following the host's and moderator's instructions.

Vinkretsen may disable chat, microphone, camera or participation in case of abuse.

12. Recording and replay

Some tastings may be recorded and made available as replays.

If a tasting is recorded this must be indicated in connection with the tasting or in the tasting room.

You may not download, copy, distribute or publish recordings without permission.

Replay access may be limited to registered participants, hosts, importers or administrators.

13. Digital cellar

Your digital cellar is private by default.

You are responsible for the information you add — for example your bottles, notes, images and drinking windows.

Vinkretsen cannot guarantee that estimated prices, availability, product information or drinking windows are always accurate.

14. Tasting notes and ratings

You can create tasting notes, give scores and add images.

Tasting notes are private by default. You can choose to share them with friends, groups or publicly if the feature is available.

You are responsible for content you publish or share.

Vinkretsen may remove content that is unlawful, offensive, misleading, spam, unauthorised advertising or otherwise inappropriate.

15. User content

User content includes, among other things:

  • profile information;
  • comments;
  • tasting notes;
  • images;
  • tasting descriptions;
  • community tastings;
  • questions;
  • chat messages;
  • ratings.

You retain your rights to your content, but grant Vinkretsen the right to display, store and process the content to the extent required to provide the service.

If you make content public it may be shown to other users.

16. Code of conduct

You may not use Vinkretsen to:

  • harass, threaten or insult others;
  • distribute unlawful content;
  • spread spam or fraud;
  • publish misleading information;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access;
  • disrupt technical systems;
  • circumvent payment, access control or security features;
  • market alcohol in a way that breaches law or good practice;
  • direct alcohol-related content to people under 25.

17. Importer accounts

Importer accounts are intended for approved wine importers and their teams.

Importers are responsible for ensuring that:

  • company, portfolio and tasting information is accurate;
  • only authorised people are invited to the importer team;
  • roles and permissions are used correctly;
  • content follows Vinkretsen's guidelines and applicable rules;
  • Systembolaget links are used neutrally and correctly.

Vinkretsen may review, edit, pause or unpublish importer content.

18. Featured and sponsored content

Vinkretsen may show featured or sponsored content — for example "Wine of the week", "Importer in focus" or "Upcoming tasting".

Sponsored content must be clearly but discreetly labelled.

Sponsored content may not use buy-now calls to action, shopping carts, checkout or other alcohol e-commerce-style language.

19. Availability and changes

Vinkretsen strives for high availability but does not guarantee that the service is always free from interruptions, errors or technical issues.

We may change, improve, pause or remove features.

We may also restrict access for maintenance, security risks or technical issues.

20. Limitation of liability

Vinkretsen provides information, digital tools and community features.

Vinkretsen is not responsible for:

  • alcohol purchases or pickup;
  • availability at Systembolaget or external websites;
  • incorrect product information from external sources;
  • private gatherings outside the platform;
  • users' own actions;
  • wine quality, condition or availability;
  • indirect damages or losses.

21. Responsible consumption

Vinkretsen is created for adults with a genuine interest in wine.

Information about wines is presented in an educational and neutral form.

Users are expected to participate responsibly.

22. Intellectual property

Vinkretsen's name, design, code, brand, texts, structure and functionality belong to Vinkretsen or its licensors.

You may not copy, distribute, modify or use Vinkretsen's material without permission, other than as required for normal use of the service.

23. Termination and suspension

You can stop using Vinkretsen at any time.

Vinkretsen may suspend or terminate accounts that breach the terms, create security risks, abuse the service or act in a way that harms other users, importers or the platform.

24. Personal data

How Vinkretsen processes personal data is described in the Privacy policy.

25. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms of use.

For material changes we inform you in an appropriate way.

Continued use of Vinkretsen after the terms have changed means you accept the updated terms.

26. Governing law

These terms are interpreted under Swedish law.

Disputes shall in the first instance be resolved through dialogue. If a dispute cannot be resolved it shall be tried by a competent Swedish court, unless mandatory consumer protection rules state otherwise.
